I have had a Bishop of L in my front garden for just over 2 years. I leave it in the ground over winter - cos I am too lazy to lift it and it is reasonably sheltered.

Normally it had beautiful red flowers with yellow middles. This year, the flowers are smaller and ORANGE :o :o :o. Any ideas why and is it best to pull it up and grow something else?

How odd

My plottie neighbour bought lots of B of L seed - from a good supplier - and it came out orange ???

It's called "sporting" a plant in which a single bud or
offset suddenly assumes a new, and sometimes very
different, character from that of the rest of the plant.

Thank you all. I think that I will see what happens next year as the foliage and flowers seem pretty healthy.
