This is my only ripe one, about 16 inches in diameter. There are two more, nowhere near ripe.

jebus! that's huge. mine's getting pretty big aswell but the biggest one is a bit long...

It's going to be the centrepiece at our Harvest Festival on Sunday. Shapes do differ a bit; they're obviously hybridised to some extent.

Mine is not as round as yours, and not as orange.  It's been the same size and colour for ages so I wasn't sure whether it was ripe, but decided to pick it at the weekend just in case the rat decided to take a nibble as it has done with other squashes.

Not sure what I'm going to do with mine, although I'll probably make some soup with some of it.

I've got 6 plants which are producing 14 pumpkins of various colours and shapes. The thing they all have in common is that they have a lower water content than our traditional halloween varieties. West Indian varieties are quite late and will store pretty much all winter. My favourite recipe is pumpkin and thyme soup.
