Some low life has been pinching my beetroot. They haven't just pulled them willynilly they have methodically taken the best ones. We have been thinning them to give them room to grow. Why do they do it? I know its only vegetables but I knew everyone of them. I feel like putting some poison on the rest of them although I know I will be cutting my nose off to spite my face. It would give me a bit of satisfaction. The thing is I would have given them some if they had asked even though Ive not got a lot growing yet. :'(
When I get old I don't want people thinking
                      "What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
                    "Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

put up a sign saying "beware, wasps nest nearby" or "CCTV in operation" - sometimes it works, it's enough to make your blood boil  >:(

how about a sign saying;
'only organic fertilizers used,
human urine (my own brew),
hope you enjoyed the beetroot'.

sorry to hear you lost some of your hard work :(

ooops i just looked in the watershed and see a similar suggestion had already been made! sorry!
'blood sweat and tears really don't matter, just the things that you do in this garden'

Thats what I was worried about when I planted a pumpkin at the lot as it was for my son so I planted one at home too. The one at home is better actually. Its annoying people do that I just hope they ate it and didn't bin it as I would be even more annoyed.

Our allotment secretary is going to put a notice up in the shed to warn plot holders that there is a pilferer around. Lets hope that does the trick especially if the culprit is someone within.

My sympathy.

I lost all my greengages yesterday. First time the tree's fruited in 3 years. They even took the wasp-infested ones. I was going to put them in the show next week and now have nothing :(

Not happy.
