Yes I got the message!
I could live with it & then nearly all of my XP Pro progs. were suddenly unexplicately lost last Saturday.
Awaiting new/pukka/ software but reinstalled 'hooky' XP to stop the withdrawal symptoms.
Now I don't have 'Advantage' probs. as I have SP1.
I can download manually 50 updates. Which one(s) will infect my 'puter with the dreaded?
I downloaded 'Office 2003(2) but i don't think it runs on service pack1.
Appreciate any comments.

Telboy, On the various forums that I visit Genuine Advantage is classed as  spyware and I believe that microsoft are being taken to task over it. I myself and many others have removed it from our computers even though we have genuine copies of XP. When you update in future just watch what they are suggesting that needs updating and do not download Genuine Advantage. My updates still come through without it. so it would be possible to download and install SP onto your computer
