Hope you don't mind if I show my dahlia here? it was a gift from a lovely old gent who fixed my washing machine a few years back and took pity on me when I said I was no good at flowers, it's bloomed every summer since :)

gorgeous pics, i love dahlias, and lillies, and roses , and carnations..........and just about anything if it's pretty and sniffy. i walk past peoples gardens and just about fall over their fence/hedge trying to get a better whiff, while my hubby walks on embarrassed muttering 'for gods sake, it's only a flower'  :-X. he point blank refuses to hold me by the ankles when i have to overstretch over some of the walls, (and he say's he loves me!!)
