I tried the search option but guess I must be putting in the wrong question so apologies for probably repeating an often asked question but.........
have (no, had) some nicely growing calabrese, cauli's and the rest but over the past two weeks they have been decimated.

Not slugs and absolutely no sign of caterpillars or the like!

Causes?

Cures?

Thanks

Wolfie

no, definitely of invertebrate nature, you can see where what ever it is has been chomping - the leaves look like my Nan's old lace curtains. Some have been so badly attacked that only the main ribs of the leaves are left

Is there any chance of getting a picture on here at all Wolfie

The only thing that I can think of without seeing the damage is of that little black beetle that comes of the rape seed when it is being harvested...the little ones that seem to love yellow clothes that is, I gave up growing early cauliflowers bercause of them a couple of years ago.
