there are lots from the old standby Sodium Chlorate through others, but be careful as a lot of your surrounding plants will have roots under the patio, my wife nearly killed our Wisteria by cleaning the patio with jeyes fluid!

GB I just use a knife and clear out the gaps from time to time.

Clear out and grout the cracks. Then it won't come back for years.

I was out yesterday using a knife to rid my small patio of weeds. Thought I would now give it a jet wash. Robert what do I grout with? Sand or cement? Thanks.
Lorna.

Cement mix; clean out the cracks, fill them up, then wash everything down and give it a good scrub before it dries. A bag of readymix would probably do it.

Many thanks Robert. Will do as per your post.

Some are little B. a knife or  some you can paint on the leaves  with a brush.

They will if you don't get them out first. The cement stops more getting into the cracks and establishing. if necessary, weedkiller will knock anything back long enough for the cement to harden, and there isn't much that can grow through it once it gets to that stage.

The chemical route= I had great success last year (20 slabbed areas in as many gardens and paths) with Wilko's own brand of Pathclear...much cheaper than the Original. Using my Hoselock spray with a fine nozzle I could target precisely. The weeds stayed away all season...many satisfied customers 8) Just starting another round now (oooh! me poor back).....first 'client' today? Myself  ;D

It works for a season, but if you follow up with grout you won't need to re-do it next season!
