Managed to get to the Plot today to do a bit of watering
in the greenhouse and i noticed  holes in my beetroot leaves with dark
rings around them.
I have scoured the net for some explanation but it seems
that Beets dont suffer much except from birds.

Curryandchips

They seem to be fairly hardy, I have not had any problems with my crops. I don;t know what the holes are from, but it probably won;t affect the roots.
The impossible is just a journey away ...

Thanks for the reply Curry will take a pic tommorow & post it
so this might shine some light on it

Cheers

saddad

I get the holes but they tend to grow through it, always assumed it was confused flea beetles that get bored and look for something easier to chew!
;D

hi bison, I just ignore those little holes like saddad, they don't seem to harm the plant, and I figure some bug is entitled to their share ;)
