One of my daughters bought me five plants from a nursery today, Does anyone know anything about ithis one..... Gaura Cherry Brandy. It just says on the ticket...Producimg masses of cherry and pink flowers over eye catching bronze-red foliage. Ideal for patio containers or as a centre piece in hanging basket.. It also has NEW on the ticket.. New to the supplier or new variety?
Is it anual, perenial? No other info given.
Thanks Lorna.

Gaura is a herbaceous perennial and v pretty too.  Mine died completely away  after the last frosts .  I thought it was lost because of the extreme cold over winter as I couldn't find it -  I had completely forgotton where it was.  However, all is well, the leaves have appeared and it even seems to have survived a move to a better spot.

Enjoy

Muscari. Many thanks, when I said to my daughter I may put it in a tub she went to her car and gave me a second one.(Thought I would have a change from my usual tubs of fu*hsias and geraniums) Would you advise in a tub or in a border? She will be pleased I have found something out about it. Thanks again.

Lorna,

It is really up to you.  But what ever you decide, I think they look best grouped together - I saw a stunning display at Wisley last year where they had loads of them packed in to a huge bed.  If you have a pot large enough  - put them in together.  At least if they are in a pot you'll know where they are after they have died down.  I bought mine in a rash moment at Hampton Court flower show and wish I'd bought several.  With luck, mine will grow large enough to divide - or maybe I should take cuttings?  I'll find out later.

Best wishes

Muscari. Excellent idea. I will put them both in one of the big pots. Will be something different for out front of bungalow. If I am lucky enough to get a good result will post pic, Thanks again.
