Hi, can anyone reccomend where to buy some artichoke plants from. I have raised a few from seed this year but would like to buy some young plants too, but can't find a supplier.
Many thanks Helen

Their plants are excellent - they raise organic seedlings for 'big name' seed companies (I am told they grow for Marshalls!) who sell on under their own brand.

Tip If you live close enough, you could find seedlings at a fraction of the retail price from their nursery shop (near March, Cambs). Veg in plugs @ 5p, larger plants from 15p. They can't guarantee what's going to be in stock in the shop, but if you live close enough you could call before visiting.

Do you have a neighbour from whom you could take slips? It's the right time of year :) Emma-Jane described how to do this at http://www.allotments4all.co.uk/joomla/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,57/topic,18295.0
