cardinalflower

Hiya,
I have this plant in my garden, it's evergreen, heart type leaves, very hardy, lush green colour all year round, spreads everywhere and also grows in cracks and bits of wall. Think it has a blue flower. Does anyone know what it is please?

Mimi

I think that it is a Campinella of some kind.
Take time to stop and smell the flowers.

Hyacinth

Campanula? It even gets into my drains >:(

Looks like Campanula and if it's coming up in cracks in walls, probably the one that sounds like Porzychyiana.  That's not how it's spelt but I'm at work so can't check what I mean.  it's a rampant little devil but useful for softening concrete paths etc as it recovers from being stood & driven on and survives in all sorts of crevices.
is it in the sale?
(South Cheshire)

Hyacinth

Snails love nesting in it, btw >:(

Palustris

The leaves do look like C.portenschlagiana, but in our garden it is not evergreen.
Gardening is the great leveller.

I have this plant.  You can be quite brutal with it and it will still come back again.  Still it is pretty  ;)

Ours has flowered right through the winter - a little carpet of purplish blue at the back door.
