Plum Sherry

A friend said that her sister made plum sherry so I asked her for the recipe.  I was told the recipe is the same as for sloe gin but instead of gin use sherry and instead of sloes use raw crushed plums.  She uses slightly less sugar in the plum sherry as they are not quite as bitter as sloes.  I asked what type of sherry to use and was told it didn't matter.   :-\

I will try it out in the autumn when I have my plums and report back.
