Hi,

some one very kindly sent me some echinops in a seed swop last year (sorry - had to empty my PM as it was full and I cannot remember who it was, maybe Georgie? or Myrtle??) .

I have been trying to get them to germinate them - on a warm sunny window ledge in a unheated propogater for about 2 weeks, but no sign of life? any tips or should I count my losses and make space for something else on the ledge?

I would put the seed tray somewhere outside. They do not really need heat to germinate. Ours self seed all over the place, indeed I saw some babies yesterday.
Gardening is the great leveller.

so I am smothering them with kindness then, will stop singing to them etc.... the cold frame, quick march, it is then! Thanks Palustris
