I went to Barts hospital yesterday, got the all clear for my treatment in 2 wks.
I found myself steeped in History.
As we went into this marvellous hospital, we saw a museum, and two wonderfull churches, ST BARTHALOMEW the Lesser and ST BARTOLAMEW the great, so we went to visit when we came out, my word what an eye opener the museum was we saw some of the instruments they used hundreds of years ago and the instructions how to use them, oh my lord the amputations were so gruesome in those days it is a wonder anyone survived none the less interesting to see and read, glad i never went into there first though!!!.

The St Barts the great church was amazing, it was where 4 weddings and a funeral was filmed, what a beautiful OLD church the layout and the feel of it all and the history behind it the beautiful stone work Ohhh i could go on i must go back again because we had a train to catch we diden`t stay as long as i would have liked, anyone who has been there knows what i meanand if you ever get the chance if you love old churches please go its wonderful.

For the Scottish members here we also went to see WILLIAM WALLACE monument
there are to this day fresh and artificial flowers still lay ed there and someone had lay ed beautiful large Scottish thistles.  All in all a really good day all round forgot all about my health problems for a while.

Rosebud. Glad you had such a good day and most of all that you have got the all clear for your treatment. You must be pleased after having to cancel the previous appointment.. Keep well and ban anybody from visiting you in the next two weeks who has the slightest sign of a cold!! Wishing you all the best. Lorna.

Sounds as though the day was just the tonic you needed, Mary :) And does this mean that your Op is rescheduled for 2 weeks time?

That sounded fascinating Rosebud, and I'm so pleased that you're in the clear so you can get this op out of the way at last.  Glad you don't have to wait too long, but shame it is on your OH's birthday and St Valentines Day.  Never mind once it is over you can have a romantic celebration.    :)Look after yourself. love busy_lizzie
