We have just rescued this little girl. She is an alaskan malamute and she is only 2 years old. She was unwanted by her owners and she has gone through 3 homes since. :'(
No matter what she is like she is here to stay. :) If there are any problems I have loads of friends to ask advice on this real nice young lady. ;)

Well, it's sad, but lots of dogs/pets end up in rescues because their owners split up. It's a tough decision, but if the owners think the animals won't get the quality of life they deserve, then, it's one that's often made.. :(

Anyway, congrats to joji and well done for adopting your new little girl - having a rescue dog's very rewarding! :)

Thanks everyone. She is such a character :)

lorna

I am sure she will bring you (and her) lots of happy times, thank goodness she has now got a lovely home. My daughter rescued a cross yorkshire terrier last year, the woman had six terriers and they were taken away from her through neglect. What the heck is wrong with people?? Pepi is now a little darling, he even follows Lorna to the loo. sits ouside and whines until she comes out.
She sure is a beautiful dog. Lorna.

Marianne

She looks adorable ! That beautiful fur  :D  I wish you and her lots of luck !
;) :D
Enjoy today to the full.  You are not sure of a tomorrow.

Heldi

she's a stunner. Won't show my laddie as he'll be wanting one of those aswell!

joji

Lorna It would suprize us if we ever got in the loo door without one of ours trying to follow. If any of us are in the bath at least 3 of the dogs come into the bathroom and just lay on the floor ;D.

Thanks Marianne

Why not Heldi Just tell him that she is 3 times the size of a husky and just say no. ;D

Heldi

Believe it or not we have a one in our street! Its a dog and my Cass flirts like hell with him. She's such a tart !  He's an absolutey gorgeous big furry dog and exceptionally well behaved. Now I would not ever have known what breed he was until I saw your picture. I would've been happy thinking he was an extra large extra furry husky!

He's still not getting one!!

Cute lovely looking dogs, always wanted one but parrot would not agree :-\

LOL Heldi  ;D

If you ever get to see it now you can be very brainy here as you can now say may I stroke your alaskan malamute and the owners will be impressed that you know what he is lol. Most people make the mistake of thinking that they are over sized huskies, but Malamutes were bred before huskies were and have a very long history. :)

Sorry to tell you mate but with any sled dog your parrot wouldn't last 2 minutes. They are lightening fast and voracious hunters. That is one of the many reasons that you just can't let them off the lead when out for a walk. :)

If any of mine got out there would be no sheep left in Wales at all. That is why our garden is like fort Knox

joji

Lol Wardy

You are NOT   hijacking the thread mate post away. If you got some thing to say , say it. ;D

I must admit Wardy it is one hell of a head ache if any of our dogs do get out, but there is one good thing. They always head for the lottie gate out the back now so don't get far. ;D lol
