Good buy?

I picked up a Terrex Spade today...the chap who had it said he couldn't get on with it.

He asked twenty pounds for it and as it is in very good condition I hummed and hah'ed a bit (as you do) then agreed to buy....did I do right?

Having played around for about an hour, plus falling off a couple of times with excitement,  I found that I had dug a complete bed in no time...it's brill!

No more aching back....I am surprised just how many of these types of spade are still around and in use, several on our plot alone.

I reckon it may prove to be money well spent.

:o Sounds like you got yourself a good buy ;D I just Googled it and found that although you can't get spares for it, they sell up to £100 on ebay.

I have never used one myself, but neighbours who have them, swear they are the best thing they have ever used. I didn't realise spares were no longer available.

Having spent an hour playing with my new toy...I am impressed.

I can understand some of the previous posters asking if they were still available and if not why not.

Surprising that a Company hasn't picked up on this and either taken on the licence to build them or redesigned a similar alternative.

No more aching back...

I guess that if repairs are needed I shall have to source an old unit that has been scrapped or get a part made up
