Allotments 4 All

I need to get more reference books in my "library" for those long winter evenings. I've read all the ones I have already. I like fairly detailed books (but not science journals) that'll teach me something new as I've read lots about the basics.

What do you recommend?

I'm interested in: Organic gardening, growing fruit and veg in containers or small spaces, herbs (medicinal and culinary), biodiversity, native flora and fauna, woodlands and trees.

I'm really enjoying Bob Flowerdew's 'Gourmet Gardener' - full of new (to me) info...

Also, have you read the 'Heligan Vegetable Bible'?

(I'm kind of assuming you've got 'Flora Britannica'...) 

I have another Bob Flowerdew book - the no work garden (I think that is what it is called? will double check). He has some really interesting ideas about cutting out unnecessary work etc... is quite wordy, so is more of a read than a reference.

I like his book on companion gardening.
