Hi everyone,

I have tried to grow freesias for several years now and have been outstandingly successful at getting the green bits to grow and to get the brown lumpy bits that you bury to get bigger and to increase in number  ---  but I have never ever had even a single flower - not even a bud!

I have put them in pots, troughs, the garden and several places on the allotment (really rich soil, rather poor soil, full sun, partial shade and full shade - complete darkness is all that is left)  _ I have kept them wet, moist, dry and even arid - but still no flowers.

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG ?

Bionic Wellies love the name ;D

The only succcess that I have had in the UK is growing them in my porch.  It gets the afternoon sun and can raise the humidity well if I have a collection of plants in there ;)

I think you may find it's the heat they need.

I shall try again next year so lets compare notes!  :)
To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven: a time to be born and time to die: a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted.     Ecclesiastes, 3:1-2
