Does anyone know what might be attacking the leaves of my Liriope Muscari which I am growing for the first time this year?  The grass-like leaves are being shredded leaving them brown and dead looking.  I can see no sign of slug or snail trails, nor have I spotted any caterpillars.  I don't know if this is a clue but the same thing has happened to my Lily-of-the-valley leaves and again their was no discernable sign of any pests.

Sounds like those really small slugs to me.

Georgie

Hmmmm...I thought it might be.   :(  That's always the problem with shade loving plants, eh?

Slugs are a problem with most of my plants unfortunately.

I have same problem with mine.   Have found very small snails on them and also causing same damage on cordylines, where they hide at base of leaves.

Oh, bad luck Jill.   :(

For my part looks like I'll have to get the Growing Success out doesn't it?
