Hi all, :D
The leaves on my oak tree are turning silvery in colour ,& curling up , then falling. Do you think this is just a symptom of drought (I live in the south east which has had very low rainfall for 8 months)  Or is it more sinister , possibly sudden oak death ???

It could be a symptom of drought. They'd be dropping their leaves to minimize water loss through them. On the plus side, I have read that oak leaves are particularly good for making leaf mould.

It's not sudden death - that is so fast that the leaves don't change colour, they wilt and shrivel.
