Cheeky post and probably the wrong board to put this on but guessing that a lot of people look at this one.

I am chair of local preschool and we are in danger of closing so are trying to raise as much money as possible.  We are therefore going to have fete with plant stall.

Does anyone live in Worcester area with any spare seedlings/plants that they would be willing to donate?  I have filled growing racks and windowsills but could still do with more stuff as I know from experience there is never anything left on the stall regardless of how much we put out.

Any help very gratefully received.  :-*

Oh no Justy!  I am here in Sunny Essex which is no good for you, but wanted to wish you loads of luck.  Preschools are so important and my kids both adored their preschools so I hope you are able to save yours.  :-\

Justy, I can't help either but am sending huge cyber support!  Pre-schools are so important to children, they lay the foundation stones on which schools can build.  It is where they learn to socialise and get on with other children.  My children all benefitted hugely from going as they were all three very shy and it helped them enormously.

I wish you lots of luck and hope it all goes well.

Sorry i cant help you either, wish i could, ive got a few spare pepper plants here.

Maybe you could put up posters in your area appealing for donations or visit your local allotments and see if they can help you out?

Good  luck with the event

I guess you'll have already tried the local nurseries and B & Q etc.
Making up hanging baskets is a good profit maker according to my sister who does it every year for her school fair.
Good Luck.

hadn't thought of local nurseries (DOH!  ::)) so will give them a go.  Also had a bit of luck on lottie yesterday.  A new lady asked me if I wanted any tomato plants coz she had so many so have bagged her spares plus my 40 spares and put up notices round village to sell them 50p per pot.  Hopefully should raise a bit of cash.  Mine are still a bit puny though!

Thanks for all your support.  My son finishes at the preschool this year and off to big school in September and thanks to preschool he is confident, sociable and can write and count - it would be awful for the village to lose it.
