Old distilled water container from local garage. Cut to shape with a jig-saw and sort of bent in places to allow in and out for frogs and birds.

That is so clever ;D Is this your brainwave Ken? I will give that a go up the lottie if I can get hold of a container that is wildlife friendly.

I was looking at the container and thinking the froggies will find the slope a little steep, but if you bury the container say half way down then they will manage it easily.

That is so COOL 8)

I'll bury it almost level with the cut-out.

Off to the plot with it now. I'll pic it when it's in place.

Got it in a shady part of the garden. Pic 1 is at home after cutting out. Pic 2 is filling up. Pic 2 is finished. Just want a frog or two now! Ask if need more detail.

kenkew

No, but you've given me an idea for an on site plot shower. Mmmm!

Val

I like that..not sure about the colour though..still when its planted up around it...Its a great idea, you can put it in any small space and still have a froggy pond.

Quite right Val - If the item is put into the soil and then surrounded with plants, the blue will be un-noticeable.  It's quite an excellent idea me thinks ...... ::) ;)

Justy

thats brilliant - have you got any frogs yet?  I have had one living in my plastic greenhouse - frightened the life out of me when I was watering as leapt up out of the tomatoes!!  Would be nice to get him a little pond.

I made a small wildlife pond in the garden and we imported som taddies

from a friend's pond.

Our two children have watched them transform into miniscule

frogs, which then climbed out and are 'somewhere' in the grass and

borders.

Only problem is, we haven't cut the grass yet in case we decapitate any

of them.
