The first strawberry!

Well, flower.  This is one of my alpine strawbs that has made itself at home in the garden.  It seeds all over and produces absolutely masses of tiny sugar sweet fruits throughout the summer.  Sorry about the focus but the wind was blowing! ;D

My cambridge favourites are flowering too  :) They are in a really sheltered spot though.

Have just covered them up with fleece as there's frost forecast for tonight
