Grass paths?

Hello again all, just a quick question.  Been looking around the site and seen a few photos of plots with lovely grass paths between the beds.  Are they cleared of weeds and sown with fresh grass seed?  How do they stay so neat?  My paths keep getting big clumps of (I think) couch grass in them, no matter how many times I pull it out.

trimming them close reguarly?  "Friendly" grasses don't mind being mown and trimmed - couch grass dislikes it ;D ;D

All best - Gavin

Hooray!  I thought it would be much more complicated ;D Thanks.

The pile of manure I had delivered was left for about a month on the lotty haul road as I was too in pain to shift it. Anyway I moved it over the weekend as felt better and it's burned all the grass path away.  There's a massive patch now with no grass.   :o :o  Shall I sow some more or just see if it will spread from the surrounding area?

Wardy:  If it's anything like our grass it'll be back before you can say Jack Robinson!
(ps I was up home Thursday/Friday - I waved in your direction as I came off the 617 at Duckmanton! :) )

A lot of lotties are deliberately sown with couch to keep paths from disintegrating and so it's a continual battle to keep it out of the beds... and I think most folk on our site have petrol strimmers! I had a good old strim around mine on Sunday (and have the green legs to prove it!)

Hello moonbells (waving back) ;D  I was just up the road on my plot shovelling poo and contemplating my bald patch - the one where the grass used to be  ;D
