Lovely sunny day at the allotment

Had a good day at the allotment today, I must say that the people on my allotment are so lovely.  I think that is what makes it so pleasurable.  Picked raspberries, runner beans, french beans and left some cooking apples on the excess produce table.  Seem to be a lot of large marrows going spare. Also got a kiss of the cheek, free newspaper and lots of good chat.

It was a great day to be out on the lotties... almost managed to give away the gluts..

I spent the sunny morning helping clear one of the vacant plots.  It was putting thistle seeds all over the place, so another neighbour used my strimmer to cut it back and I pulled up nettles and thistles.  I am hoping it has dried off, because today I want to burn the thistles and hopefully take care a lot of the seeds.

It got to almost 30 degrees inside my sweet potato tent.  So I am hoping they will be pleased with that.

Yesterday wasn't too bad either.. managed to lift a sack of Red Dukes.. today looking like a washout though..

What are the white tents?  Enviromesh?                                                                                                   enviromesh I'm a poor retired bt engineer cant afford enviromesh no its 3mt  wide white debris netting from a scaffold company its a good doppleganger and half the price
