ryobi strimmer

Anybody else had trouble with Ryobi battery strimmers? Had been using older batteries in mine and then loaded a lithium one I had been using in my drill for a year or two and it overheated and scorched the battery terminals. Thought it was due to age of battery so bought a replacement and gues what? Another ruined battery. Response from Ryobi, guess what? Yup nothing.
