We saw sand martin at Old Moor reserve a couple of weeks ago and a curlew on Berley Moor.
Maybe the swallows will reach us soon

It's a lovely sight and sign of summer just around the corner. No sign here yet but we usually have four nesting pairs across the path in the old barn.
We do have lots of insects emerging early because the winter was so mild, I just had the earliest white ermine moth record for Ireland . But sitting in with the heating on because the wind is chill! Onwards and upwards.

Swallows and House Martins haven't arrived in my village yet but are expected any time soon.  I live about 8 miles north west of Salisbury in Wiltshire.
