Well I have now had this lottie for 3 weeks and we have spent quite a few hours down there now and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. So today I signed the agreement and popped it up to the town council office and while I was there had a word .... Thought I'd tell them about the tap that is dripping and making a bog out of the path which my daughter slipped in twice and reminded the lady that some of the old guys could go a cropper if not fixed. Then onto the amount of junk that has been dumped over the railings as if it were a dump.... could that be moved please. Also one of the old guys told me that if you have rubbish and its too much for you to be able to dispose of they will do it. So I asked her about this and said we have burnt the old shanty house down but left with sheets of old rusty corrugated iron.

I have this feeling she will wish she never let the younger generation have a plot soon but you can be sure I fight to get things done if they need doing especially when some of the older guys have asked them to fix the tap and nothing has happened ..... what this space   ;D

Good for you!  After all, it is what they are paid to do, you are merely helping them out, preventing them having to pay a site visit!! teehee.  Do let us know if the tap gets fixed.

Now, I have to change this posting, EJ just posted and started with the exact same words as I did hahaha.
Sometimes I think it may help to put your requests in writing, especially the dangers that the dripping faucet pose and the waste of good water. Writing a letter and asking for a response so they can't pretend they didn't know about it later when you have to remind them again and again. Finally, they may sigh and fix everything just so you'll stop bothering them hehehe. The added bonus will be that you'll become the hero of the complex if you get done what others couldn't.
