Up at sparrowfart this morning then a long trek up to the Longstone which is miles from anywhere along with the Morris Dancers to 'Dance in the May' as the sun rises.  An ancient fertility rite so my allotment should be bountiful this season. I did think of my fellow allotmenteers all cosy in your beds, so don't forget to thank me when you are blessed with a good crop.

Ace,

Bountiful thanks   :sunny:

Sounds like you had great fun.  Wish I could have seen it.  Is there a youtube video?

And please, soon (very soon) could you do a 'better weather ceremony', or was that already included in the May dance?

Well done Ace, but we do need the pictures to feel part of it. Love the sparrowfart expression. I guess I did one this morning, been up and down most of the night and finally up at 5, still only 6 here..I need a life.do they have female Morris dancers
When God blesses you with a multitude of seeds double  the blessing by sharing your  seeds with other folks.

Sunrise and discussing the next tune, I was not in costume this morning as I am in a different side now.

Lovely!  thanks Ace.  What is the name of the little 'squeezebox' you are playing?

Pescador

I would think you were a bit chilly round the edges with a lovely clear sky like that.
Let's hope Spring gets a bit of a rush on now!

It is a concertina, about 130 years old but still going strong.
