Digeroo

I have been trying to go no dig, but decided I needed to sort out an area, so decided to go back to digging.  It was not long before a robin came hopping around me.

I realised that without the digging I had not had this pleasure for some time.  So I am think I need to do some digging to keep my little friend well fed.

Good for you. I'm always happy to have a robin keeping me company on the plot when I'm digging.

I think that the no dig method can be even better for the birds ...in the spring when I gently and easily stir the soil apart with the garden fork...there will be the last few remaining fragments of soggy cardboard maybe ..but lots of wonderful worms .....so good for the soil....and a few for the robin too, before they wriggle underground  again    :coffee2:
Trespassers will be composted !
