Thank you everybody for your lovely birthday wishes  the roses are gorgeous too!   

Even nature gave me a present and put a few gallons of water into the butts, watered the garden for me and then sent glorious sunshine later.   

I had a lovely day and felt very pampered. On the eve of the day we stayed with friends.  MIL came in the morning for a slice of cake.  Later we enjoyed a Chinese banquet buffet dinner, then a long walk where we listened to skylarks and a few 'bubbles' to round off the evening.  Seeing kids and partners next weekend (midway between mine, OH's and Son's birthday).

Thank you Pauline and Markfield Rover for your birthday greetings    Certainly not too late and I'm afraid there might be a drink or two tomorrow as well, because it is OH's birthday 

I'll bake a cake tomorrow.  My balloons and cards are still up and there are still flowers, but I will make room on the mantelpiece for his cards.  Then we will celebrate DS's birthday next week and my sister's the week after.  It's a festive time here.
