Tools coming out of my ears.

I dropped in on a field auction this morning. Quite a few bundles of tools in lots so I thought I would have a punt a pile that took my fancy. Won the bid, had a look around at some other bits but the price seemed to be rising a too much especially on the rotovators which is pot luck if they work or not.

I went to pay and they said they would get a porter to bring the tools down to the car park. Well he kept bringing them down and going back for more, so I asked if there was a mistake, nope lot 10 is all yours, I said well it didn't look that much when I bid. That was just a sample of the lot he said and kept on bringing them down to the car park. I just about had room in the motor for them all then he brought loads of scaffold netting. Lucky my mate was there so he loaded his van with the netting. Not bad for just over £20 with the bidders premium. Good old fashioned sturdy tools. Forks, shovels hoes, rakes, mattocks, spades, plus long reach cutters and lawn edgers.

I have just sent off for some netting at 50p a square metre, but now I have hundreds of metres of the stuff from the auction. Used but does not look torn.

It gets better, a shed off of freecycle today. Just in time for somewhere to put all the new tools.
