Few weeks ago I got rid of the last 'things come in 3's ' issue (as 'bad' things do tend to happen).
I'm back at it again.... :BangHead:....fridge freezer packed up last night! :BangHead:
So if I disappear from the internet 'radar', it is because of the 3's 'thing'.
I'm just listening every little noise and possible rattle that any electrical thing may make, noises that doesn't belong to them.. :BangHead:
Why oh why is it so difficult to get hold of new fridge in a hurry...!...unless you want part with whole lot of extra dosh, none of the 'normal' or the offer range priced ones are available for delivery for FEW WEEKS!!! :BangHead:

I was playing a 'night owl' last night...and ventured to fridge for drop of milk and noticed the fridge being lifeless. Spent most of the night trying to find 'good deal' on puter, one with short waiting time...then emptying fridge into lidded buckets for safe keeping outdoors (trying to buy extra keeping time with colder temperature)....started to cook fishy things out of freezer for to eat today (yum yum...battered fish pieces for breakkie :tongue3:), couldn't quite face full tub of ice cream at 3 am (hubby did wake up and had go at it :drunken_smilie:), it is still quite solid after being outside over night so that will go down well to flush fishy after taste :toothy10: No room for guilt trip now.. :glasses9: :angel11:
Today is start of cooking marathon...cooking meats from freezer as they thaw out (luckily there is not that much)..looks like pot of stew is on menu and that will keep few days outside, pan placed in bucket of water should keep it cold enough.
It is the berries and fruit that I'm most sad about...it was my 'allotment stash' to savour over winter months...and now I have to cook it all and turn it into something that will keep bit longer, there is no way we could eat it all our 'normal way'...I'm a good eater if needs to be, but this is more than we could cope in a hurry :BangHead:

That's better...had to get it off from my chest...let's hope cooker won't break down next!!! :confused3:

Do you have kilner jars?  Or pop-lid jam jars?  This would be a good way to deal with the fruit.

Oh, I have jars of all manner all over the place... :icon_cheers: I have plenty of room in tummy too... :tongue3:
I think I have it all 'under control'...freezer is still reasonably cold from frozen stuff so I'm not in immediate hurry..berries don't spoil over night and as soon as meats are thawed they will be cooked and the feast will begin! :sunny:
When there is no berries to go into my new freezer ( the one that will eventually arrive), I will have plenty of room to store all the wild bird meat that I'll be getting over the winter...pheasant korma...MMMM...season has started for pheasant, but I haven't accepted any offerings yet, its been too warm for keeping any birds outside and no time nor room to deal any straight away.
But soon.......
