I was lucky to find a couple of reduced price , very distressed , Cotoneasters  yesterday at B&Q . I was thinking I could replace a parthenocissus quinquefolia vine which became too much of a thug .
What I was wondering was .... will it climb up vertically on it's own or will I need to tie it in ?
Would they be happy in a tub , till I decide where they'd best like to be  ?
Or ..... could I train them into a topiary stucture  ? Has anyone any good ideas on growing Cotoneaster ?  These are the ones with red , yellow or orange berries , not the low , ground covering one ..if that helps .
Sorry so many questions !  :coffee2: Debs

I have several the birds planted.  They do seem very popular with the bees.

Yes , good for happy bees ..also the birds love the berries . ...but is it one of those things that can climb a wall without being fixed to it ?   :sunny:
