Although I liked them all I'm afraid number 5 struck a chord with me as it reminded me of many happy holidays in Oberstdorf Gernany and the lung busting walks we did up in the mountain

Number 5 is a beautiful picture but I love poppies, can I pretty please vote twice.

Well I just love that bee pic, they are so difficult to snap.  I have so many pictures where the bee has moved.   They seem to be able to sense you are just going to take the pic.

I speak as a contributor, with an ordinary digital camera, and who knows nothing about photography.  What I love about these competitions (thank you for organising them, Nick, when you are so busy) is that we all vote for photos we simply like the best, rather than them being judged on expertise, focus, quality, etc. And we all react individually to something in a photo - a particular flower, a view that brings back memories, or just your favourite.

I thought it is some sort of (Himalayan?) balsam flower..Impatiens family?

I thought some sort of Orchid but my flower knowledge isn't great!
