I have been given some mushroom compost but I am not sure where to use in on my allotment.  Which crops would benefit or should I put it a bit at a time on the compost heap? Thanks for any advice.

So long as it's a year old, it can go most anywhere. I believe. I only saw the other day that it can be made with chicken as well as horse manure?

Don't expect any nutrients & do expect an alkaine effect. It is supposed to help a clay soil.

Compost heap - yes.

No I did not pay for it.  Someone gave it to me who was moving and giving up their allottment next to mine.  I think it is about 9 months old.  If it does not have nutriments so I presume it is only for breaking up the soil.  Rather new to this sort of thing and did not want to put it on the wrong vegetable bed.  Thanks for the info..
