Pumpkins

Is there a particular variety of pumpkins that is better for the English climate? Any recommendations?

Hiya, welcome to a4a. How big do you want them?
and, are they for eating or for bonfire night

Big, but not larger than a small child ;)  I'm thinking for carving on Halloween.

I was given some from a forum member, called jack o' lantern. They grew really well, needed lots of feeding but we got 4 per plant, good size and our grandchildren were made up with them
