Rosehip Syrup

Does anyone have any simple recipes for rosehip syrup? I am wanting to make some when I can get my hands on some but each time I've tried it doesn't end up very nice compared to some I've tried at fayres and the like.

Hugh  F W did one on last weeks fruit programme. It looked really good. It should be on catch up, channel 4 I think
