Been quite happy with my potatoes this year!

Strange how last year the seasons were quite wet yet the crops were poor.

Whereas this year it has been quite dry and I have had a tremendous crop from all the varieties I grew.

This is the Fir Apple I picked this morning, which have come from 35 tubers I saved from last year.

Mmmm I Love Fir Apple. They look a nice size TG

Yorkshire Lass

They look good enough to eat !! :happy7:

As a mere novice at growing veg and fruit I've found your planner a godsend this year Tee Gee.

Lovely job Tee Gee.
I harvested about three-quarters of a sack from my own garden a couple of weeks ago from last-years saved tubers.
How long would you guys consider it prudent to keep the same 'stock' as it were. I could go on saving some of these every year for years, they taste and store so well.

You are right Tee Gee, usually I fuss and tend but this year I hardly got to the plot and with all that heat almost no watering and yet the spuds I lifted were more than I usually get.

I also noticed a big difference between varieties too, I grew three, the salad one I think it was German Butter something did wonderful  and the Yukon Gold did well, but the last one, forget it's name was all eaten.. such a difference.

I thought if you 'book marked' it on your browser tool bar it should work.

I'm not a 'techie' so I am unsure as to what you can do!

At a push you could copy and paste this link somewhere handy!

Pleased to hear you are finding my site useful, makes it feel all worth while after all the work I put into it!

I am currently dabbling on the 'literature' side now and teaching myself how to compose and self publish e-books.

Its just something to do during my 'hibernation' period during the forthcoming winter months!

It will hopefully keep the old grey matter flowing and keep Al Zheimer and Mr D Mentia at bay, not forgetting Mr Parkinson!

Thanks Tee Gee, I have put the copy of your last comment into my family mailbox on my laptop,as I spend a lot of time visiting with yoiu it seems the right place.

By the way, you may be surprised how many folks use your site, as the weather were you are is so similar to my bit here I give the site name to many of the newbies I meet at our lottie over here and they use it too.

Last year was such a bad year all round for me that the garden was bottom of the list , even when I had a bit of time it was the wrong time so this next year I am going to follow your planner to the letter .Some things I have always started very early and pampered them along, it always pays off but it is hard work and has to be done with some routine which I keep in my head which is not so easy when I can't shuffle gears so well so  I am hoping your plan  will keep my head above water when things get iffy again. An interesting experiment actually.
