Truly blight resistant cherry tomatoes

I'm going to talk about Tomatillos de Jalapo which you can get from the Real Seed Company.

These have been a revelation to me this year!  While all around tomatoes and non-blight resistant potatoes have been going down with the dreaded blight on the same plot - these have stayed as green and healthy as any outdoor tomato I've ever seen!

The Real Seeds site suggests that they make tiny fruits that turn to mush when you pick them, but all the plants I've grown are literally dripping with trusses of normal sweet cherry tomatoes about an inch wide - hundreds on each sprawling bush which expands to cover an area approximately 3ft by 3ft (I didn't bank on that when I planted them out!)  The flavour is good - not the most flavoursome but certainly still far better than supermarket ones - and the abundance is shocking.  If they all ripen then our family of four is going to stand no chance trying to eat them all fresh - and I have just 3 plants.

I'll let you all know how the blight resistance goes as the next month or two progress - but for the time being it seems like an absolute miracle.
