Ideas with String

Putting a line down is a must if you want straight rows, but the darn string gets in the way sometimes when you want to sow extra seed or put plants in. This idea came to me this morning while I watched Skeela, my dog changing from black and white to mud coloured.
Stick a plastic tube at either end of the row, tie your string to a small piece of bamboo cans and just pop it into the tube. Get the tension right and it'll stay there. Dead easy just to lift it out while you plant, then just pop it back in.
