I'm growing Aubergine Moneymaker but haven't really got room in my greenhouse for them. Is there any chance they will succeed outside, assuming we get some decent weather?

I've given up on them - can't grow them inside any more - let alone outside  :BangHead: The last time I had any success with aubergines was in 2006 when I got a good crop outdoors. It was a lovely summer, but according to the weathermen there is not much hope for this year!

I am afraid that I too have given up on aubergines, and I am far south of you. I grew outdoors but they were just too unreliable and slow to fruit.
2012 - Snow in February, non-stop rain till July. Blight and rot are rife. Thieving voles cause strife. But first runner beans and lots of greens. Follow an English allotment in urban France: http://roos-and-camembert.blogspot.com

I'd intended to give up on them as well, really, but couldn't resist another try! Sounds Like I should try to squeeze them inside, but my greenhouse is quite shaded too!

I'd say it was extremely unlikely to succed outside=sorry!
