onion sets early sprouting ?

My pound land onions have all got 1 inch green sprouts
they are in a box on the window    can I still plant or is a new lot req    jim

Mine had started to sprout as well so potted in to pots ,as the grounds still like mud  so hopefully they`ll still be ok

put my 99p shop ones into moduls but planted them out last weekend as the shoots were a inch tall. I found some had dissapeared but those with shoots had strong roots which had started to curl around. I like to grow onions from seed but thought at that price they were worth a try
