Can I shorten a greenhouse

Thinking about moving my dads old greenhouse to my new house.  He has no interest in it since the glass got blown out of it last year. It is a 6 x 8 aluminium greenhouse, but I dont really have the room for the 8ft length.  Does anyone know if I can cut it down to a 6 x 6?

Yes. Quite easily if you're a hands-on kind of person.

A couple of hacksaw cuts, a few holes drilled, and you're done.

Remember! Measure twice, cut once. ;-)

Check the hole dimensions at the end of the ridge,eaves and base members then cut off the required length from each of these members, re-drill as per the measurements and it should all fit together again.

Just a tip I would shorten it by a glass panel width rather than a particular size and this will save you having to cut any glass, in fact you should end up with a few spares panes of glass to cover breakages if you do this!

You probably won't need to drill any new holes.
Each of the 5 horizontal struts will probably have a hole every 2ft and a bit, so if you cut so you still have a hole at the same distance from the end, then it should all fit back together without having to drill any new holes.
I would shorten it before moving it.

If you have a metal base, then that could be a bit more difficult.
