Got up this morning felt cold , turned the heating up nothing happened the bloody boiler has decided to pack up i cannot believe it. Really fed up & the  chappie cannot come untill tomorrow, its so cold tonight. The electric fire is not really enough.

Some idiot knocked us up just after 6 this morning to say water was rushing from our back garden hubbie rushed about looked all out the front NOTHING not a sign of any wet anywhere, what is the matter with people
to do that.  So all in all not a good day. :cussing:

Has your man turned up to look at the boiler? Hope it's a quick fix for you rosebud and you don't have to replace everything.
2012 - Snow in February, non-stop rain till July. Blight and rot are rife. Thieving voles cause strife. But first runner beans and lots of greens. Follow an English allotment in urban France: http://roos-and-camembert.blogspot.com

No he hasent Antipodes, i am quite cross really yesterday the homeserve people told me he would be here this morning, & because i am disabled i was a priorty customer when i had not heard by i pm i rang them again now they tell me it could be up to 5pm.  It is very cold to sit about so lots of odd jobs are getting done. luckily we have a couple of electric fires to get by on for now.   I am seriously hoping that it can be sorted out i have looked at some prices just in case & almost fell off my chair, we are talking £1, 700 :blob7:  . I shall let you know what happens next

Everything crossed for you to get it sorted quickly. Ours failed on New years eve and the guy tried to persuade us it would be after New Year before we got it fixed. we pointed out the problems of disabled people in very cold weather. It was fixed by 8 p.m that night, think he got sick of my deliberate 'moaning'  :toothy10:

Start pushing the disabled card, Rosebud. If you're like me, cold makes my pains worse. Get mad, girl, shout at them  :tongue3:

Manics i am well mad now, had a call to say they would be here 2-30 to 3pm still waiting i am going to phone the head office if they have not been in 15 mins. i have tried the disabled card, but not told them we both have heart problems. I have had enough now the electric fire is just not enough it is so cold now in the evening is worse.  I shall have to resort to letting my son take over.

When my elderly parents were left without heating, I phoned the local MP, Councillors and Age Concern.  The repair man said they were inundated with calls from the above. A spare part which was suppose to take 2-3 weeks was found the next day.  I did mention their ill health.
