Any one grown 'Fokhagyma' garlic

I wondered if anyone has tried the variety Fokhagyma, I'm looking for some more garlic to plant this autumn and trying to avoid buying 'wight', I hate the way they rename existing varieties.
Is it any good? I've also spotted some nice looking ones in the veg shop!

Very intriguing - where did you find this?

Foghagyma is garlic in Hungarian - Fog is tooth and hagyma is onion.  Toothed onion - garlic.

Mines 'Violette' from the farmers market [French garlic growers ] going outside and Lidl's best from Italy/spain which is going in the poly. I reckon  this year all british garlic is rust suspect so I'm at least planting clean stock. The French bulbs are very impressive and I've 2 big ones for £1 each + Lidls 3 for £1 so I'm not risking destitution if they fail an English winter....

Whilst I am not a huge fan of Wight garlic either, I think the main problem with a lot of the garlic you can buy in local shops or from uk suppliers is that they are grown in far hotter sunnier climes than the uk, and may struggle in our murkier climate.

I will only be growing saved Marco this year, it has consistently done well overwinter here in Derbyshire. I tried Edenrose, Cristo, and a purple type and Marco outshone them all. I got my bulbs originally from a Burton based supplier  http://www.garden4less.co.uk/garlic.asp

Definitely, also Isle of Wight is warmer and sunnier too. I think that's why I was partly drawn to Really Garlicky company as they have Scottish grown garlic.

Should be hardy, unless they are in the bit that is usually warmed by the gulf stream...I'd be interested to know how it does if you try some.
