I had some large sheets of cardboard lieing on the soil to warm it up and suppress the weeds but something has attacked it and chewed it up.  The likely suspects are deer, pheasants, and hedgehog, maybe squirrel.  Has anyone any idea of what shreds cardboard?

I have never thought of having to net cardboard. :BangHead:

Whoops you are right.   I forgot the voles.  The compost bins are full of them.  I will try putting some extra in the top of the bins so they leave my mulching alone.

Slugs and natural biodegradation all do their bit.

Worms like the glue in cardboard- I remember Bob Flowerdew (oh hail Bob Flowerdew!!!) saying this and it is true, I find them all over it!
