New iPhone app allows you to control an allotment in Lincolnshire and get the produce delivered when it is ready.

For Pete's sake, how silly.
I suppose it is for those who would like to say they have an allotment because it is trendy, but don't really want one.

I am going to launch an i-Phone app, if you are stuck at work, you can just switch on you phone and watch while i-Shag you wife.
If there's nothing wrong with me, maybe there's something wrong with the universe!

I was thinking it is a brilliant idea from a business / technology angle and was just trying to think up some things I could get people to pay me to do cos they are too lazy.

Do you want to go into partnership with the iShag?  We could probably do with recruiting a few more to regionalise our coverage.

It's not an allotment, its a vegetable patch.

3m x 2m.  Dont know what I was expecting for £125.

Delivery is going to be an enormous cost along with admin I'd have thought...

Jeannine

I bet if they get blight or whatever  they buy the veg from a wholesaler and deliver it anyway.

Never seen anything so daft in my life or so obviously wide open to abuse.

When God blesses you with a multitude of seeds double  the blessing by sharing your  seeds with other folks.

If the crops fail, sorry, no return on investment, I'd say. Plus why even plant them in the first place when you can pull some images off the net and post them on the user forum. "Wow - your crops are doing awesome!"

Few weeks later - "Sorry, blight, onion fly, club root. Not our fault. Please hand over another couple of hundred quid next year. "

Cynical? Me? Never!

Where do i sign up to be an i-Shag operative?

Stupid idea for people with too much money but... Anyone interested in the new app for pirates? The I-patch?!

pumkinlover

Idleness on a grand scale.  ;)
Mick.

Goodness gracious me.  That is nearly £10,000 for a standard allotment.

Nice of them to deliver the veg free.   ;D

Steve.

That's extortionate. but I guess it's just someone with a business idea and if people will pay for it then I wish them all the luck in the world.

Steve...:)

Like the jokes but from a business point of view well a good idea although I would think the cost is a bit cheap to be profitable.
If you take into account your labour at the minimum agricultural wage and the transport (post) costs etc. I would guess this is not a great profit maker.
