The joys of being the Secretary

I've just had a phone call from a very irate plot holder, complaining that she has found dog poo on her plot.  I sympathised with her, and agreed it was not acceptable for people to allow their dogs to do this.  I've ended up telling her that if she marks it with a cane I will clear it up.

Oh the joys of being the Secretary.............. ::)

I can't believe that clearing it up is included in your duties as Secretary!  I think that you're making a rod for your own back so to speak as she'll expect you to do the same if it happens again.
There are limits...!
Flighty's plot,  http://flightplot.wordpress.com,  is my blog.

Im a sec too Squash but I wouldn't go as far as to pick up doggy do's...
I would tell em that it's prolly a fox and leave it at that.
Funny how some people aways expect others to do the "dirty" work!
Moved to Portugal - ain't going back!

Oh Squash..you are too good..
How does she know it is dog poo and not fox's  ::)
People are 'funny' things..I was in the receiving end other week and had to listen a rant. This particular lady was discusted that she has only 'just' found out that she had neighbour in her lottie that keep bees....apparently last summer she was 'ALMOST' stung by his bees when cutting her hedge.. ::) How do you get 'almost stung'..and how does she know it was her neighbours bees that 'ALMOST' stung her.. ::)
Once she got the steam out of her system and she calmed down I was able to have chat with her and tell her that I'm going to have a chat with the beekeeper to make sure the hive are not near her side of the hedge.
Unfortunately people's first reaction to beehives are panic..even if they don't get hassled by the bees..ofther visitor to my plots can unknowingly stand next to the hives until I point out that 'you are standing on front of beehive..would you like to step a little further...just in case'.. ;D

Did she just rang you about the poo or was she upset something else too?

I did mention to her that it might be fox poo Nick, but she was having a bit of a rant and didn't listen to me.  The trouble is, she really dislikes dogs and I love them (but not their poos) so I didn't want to wind her up any more than she was already.

I've had to clear up hedgehog poo this morning so I'm getting used to it.  ;D

She just rang about the poo!  She sounded like she was on the verge of a panic-attack so I suppose I said I'd clear it up so she'd calm down.

Thank goodness we don't have any beehives or she'd be on the phone every minute!
