How do i join this lovely seed sharing circle as i have quite a few seeds to share.

Davey..it is late to join now (see 'sticky' seedsaving circle 2012 thead) as the group is already growing the crops that will be shared later on this year..but hopefully Jayb organize another growing group again end of the year for next growing season.
The aim with the seed sharing circle is that each in group grow number of crops..purposely for seed saving and results are shared within growers at end of the year. So what ever lovely seeds you have availabe to share is best advertized on 'swap' section.. ;)

Bit more info about the circle.. http://www.allotments4all.co.uk/smf/index.php/topic,70816.0.html

If Salmon-Flowered Peas show any tendency to fall down, tie them in.

The Paula Pea's are delicious and will be worth the wait.
Ummm... :-\..those little gray peas?...hard as bullets...? I only tasted some last year and found them not so nice as fresh peas and doomed them into 'pea soup peas only' gategory... ::) But yes..mine grew about 6 ft tall too.

You know what, they could be something else!  My mother is growing them and I know she mixed up some labels.  If there was a prans pea, maybe it could be them.

There was indeed.  Another I forgot to mention that is doing good here  :)  white flowered, haven't eaten any yet, but the plant is unusually tall.  On 8 foot support and has just continued growing and leaning onto the neighbouring holly bush (perhaps this is why I haven't picked any yet - prickly ;D).  Guess these pea plants must be 11 to 12 ft tall.  Just huge.

Thanks for the report on Paula's height.  Also thanks GL for the offer, should be ok here, but will review and let you know later, much appreciated both.

PS: (post supper !? -  ;D)

King Tut aka Pran's pea is delicious!!! Super flavour.  big pods 6-8 fat, sweet peas inside.  Similar to Magnum Bonum, but plants are even taller.  Thank you Markfield Rover!

Just from the top of my head, what's doing well (won't mention the disasters at the moment  :'()

Quillquiña has done well, despite the weather and slugs, love this herb.

Napia' Early Pointy Red, just starting to ripen. Not a huge crop as I've grown mine in pots but but each has 2-3 just turning fruits with I hope more to come.

Alpatieva 905A, grew a couple of plants which have done well, but flavour is a little mild for me.

Demidov, finally fruiting well, (weather's fault not the plant)

He-man rootstock strong and robust grower, didn't get to make my grafts though!

Blue Belle TPS ahhhh blight wipe out. I haven't even looked underneath yet, but I'm doubtful as it hit early on. I have a pot which were for mini tubers they looked good so I'm hoping I will have something there to salvage.

I'm having a "quiet" year, what with the weather and suchlike, but I just wanted to say how pleased I am with Galina's achocha.  Despite a late start, the plants have been happily climbing over a fence for a while and there are plenty of female flowers in evidence.  A few more insects to pollinate them and it will be in business!  :)

There they were in the corner - a small wigwam growing happily - to be honest I haven't been that end  of the garden very often, but the weeds were shouting at me to do something just now.  At first I didn't see very many beans, but when I started picking and looking on the inside, there were loads of Bonne Bouche and there are such a lot of small pods to come too.  A 'freezer filler' of a bean!  Thank you Markfield Rover.

goodlife

My napia...there is 14 good size fruits on a plant, but long way to go yet to get them ripe..

Robert_Brenchley

Most of my beans now have flowers on. The slugs have murdered the dwarf beans, but most of the climbers are OK. Apart from Kew Blue, that is. I won't have any swaps since something bit most of the stems through.

It's torture hearing about these exotics such as Quillquina without knowing how to get hold of them!

I'd love to participate in the sharing at a later date but my 'exotics' are pretty humdrum in comparison.

PS:
Prepared and froze some and ate some for tea.  They have wiry strings reminiscent of Cherokee Trail of Tears beans.  So easy to remove, they come off like opening a zip and don't break.  Tasted very nice too.

Ah, thanks. Lots of other goodies there too.
Maybe a thread that lists good suppliers that people use might come in handy.

I have 4 Napia Early Pointy in the greenhouse.2 have 1 big pepper that are turning red,1 has a single smaller pepper still green and 1 has none but a lot of white flowers. The snails got to them earlier in the season.
My Alberto Locoto's kept in a different place have a number of green fruits on them.
The small un-named chillis in my Tomato house have a number of creamy white fruits developing.
The Cayenne pepper has 1 orange fruit and a smaller green one.
My Anaheim chilli's have shedloads of red fruit.
Looking forward to lots of chilli's later in the year.

Thanks for thread diving for me. I bumped it to get it noticed again.
(I may have to take out a second mortgage.......)

Its not been a great year which has affected my seed sharing capacity.

That said, I am sure I will have ample amounts of kaferbohnenn beans.

I will also have tons of beans grown from last years seed sharing.  The trouble is that many of you will already have these.   Maybe I can send beans to anyone that wasnt in last years seed circle.  For the rest of you I'll have to get my thinking cap on and may even buy some seed for the share.

Just to clarify, is anyone planning on supplying the following beans, if not I will for new people:  bon bouche, major cooke, trail of tears, madera mareon, mr brooks blue, magpie, swedish one pot

Robert_Brenchley

I should have Major Cooke and Trail of Tears, but given the dreadful season, it might be sensible if we both saved them!
